【劇情簡介】：
朝鮮正祖時期，原本是貴族女兒的金允熙，自幼飽讀詩書，後來家道中落，父親離世，為了照顧年老的母親和體弱多病的弟弟，只好女扮男裝，並用弟弟金允植的書生身份，幫人抄寫書籍以賺取收入。為了清還家中的債務，甚至鋌而走險，當槍手替別人考試。一次，允熙在初試的考場認識了當朝左議政大人的獨生子李善俊。善俊為人孤傲，但有一腔為國為民的熱血，見識到允熙的文采學識後，極力邀她一同參加科舉考試，為朝廷效力。允熙最初因怕自己女生身份敗露而拒絕，但後來因急需金錢還債，逼不得已答應了。沒想到她第一次科舉考試，就以優秀的成績通過，並得到皇上的賞識，跟善俊一起被欽點進入最高等的學府「成均館」就讀，二人更被分配到同一個房間！允熙從此以「允植」的名義，在禁止女生入內的成均館，跟一群男生一起生活。後來在朝夕相處下，善俊漸漸對允熙產生了超越友誼的感情，因而懷疑自己有斷袖之癖，生活陷入混亂……
